Evening Hike up Fröttmaning Hill
From the wind turbine on Fröttmaning Hill, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Munich skyline, complete with an Alpine panorama and the impressive Allianz Arena. A climb in the evening hours is highly recommended, as the arena is illuminated in red every day—for about two hours after sunset on non-match days.

The summit of Fröttmaning Hill is also an excellent spot to watch a FC Bayern Munich game. However, be sure to leave your car at home on match days. Cycling not only gives you much more flexibility, but also lets you avoid the traffic chaos around the stadium.
Bodyflying / Indoor-Skydiving in Neufahrn

At FlyStation in Neufahrn, which opened in 2018, the dream of flying becomes a reality. No prior experience is necessary! In addition to a helmet, eye protection, and earplugs, beginners are provided with special suits that generate lift and compensate for any mistakes in body posture. After a briefing by the instructor, it's time to enter the approximately 20-meter-high wind tunnel. There, at wind speeds of about 280 km/h, a skydive from an altitude of 4,000 meters is simulated.
Throughout the year, FlyStation offers the perfect opportunity for (almost) anyone who wants to experience freefall and the thrill of indoor skydiving (also known as bodyflying). For more information, visit:
Scuba Adventure at Echinger Weiher
Somewhat hidden between Eching and Ottenburg lies a small lake that is popular with scuba divers—the Echinger Weiher. Covering an area of approximately 100 × 250 meters, the pond is home to a wide variety of plants and fish species, including pike, carp, and perch.
With a maximum depth of just 8 meters, it is perfectly suited for the training dives of the local diving school, the ABC-Divers. In addition to courses, they offer equipment rentals, sales, tank refills, and repairs. If you already hold a diving license and are looking for a truly special experience, consider exploring the lake on a night dive.

Hitting the Waves at Europe's Largest Surf Park
In August 2024, O₂ Surftown opened its doors in Hallbergmoos. With a pool length of 180 meters, the surf park is the largest of its kind in all of Europe, offering ideal conditions for both beginners and advanced surfers.

With a few exceptions, the facility is open year-round and offers lessons, equipment rentals, a restaurant, and event spaces. Today, it serves as an official training facility of the German Surfing Federation and hosted the German Surfing Championships in October 2024.
Rowing Like an Olympian
Located just outside of Oberschleißheim, you will find a historic relic of the 1972 Summer Olympics: the heritage-listed Regatta Course. Today, it still serves as a venue for rowing regattas, canoe races, and swimming competitions, as well as a training ground for the region's rowing and canoeing clubs.

If you would like to row on the Olympic Regatta Course yourself, you can do so as part of a trial course, for instance with the Rudergesellschaft München 1972 e.V.

Water Skiing & Holiday Vibes in Aschheim
Wasserski Park Aschheim is a popular destination for water skiers, wakeboarders, and anyone looking to give it a try. At its heart is a 750-metre-long course featuring various jumps (kickers), slides, and rails, which is particularly suited for experienced skiers and boarders. For beginners, the practice lift offers the ideal setup to get started.
Beyond the water, the park provides numerous ways to relax and have fun, including a sandy beach, beach volleyball courts, a restaurant, and a miniature golf course.
